I've been wearing these boots almost every day for the past week and a half. Which means that I have them in 90% of my upcoming blog posts. Which I apologize for in advance. photo IMG_0506_zps7b8e91a9.jpg photo IMG_0508_zps9ec182ca.jpg photo IMG_0512_zps0268698f.jpg photo IMG_0523_zps20c7ff1a.jpg photo IMG_0517_zps9649f9ca.jpg photo beee4260-1bac-45b9-8439-255165dcef63_zps9fa017cc.jpg

Ken and I biked the Santa Ana River Trail this day. Roughly 13 miles. As a celebration, we had Taco Bell and devoured a crunchwrap supreme and Doritios nacho. Not too shabby, eh?

Earthy Tones

 photo IMG_0322_zps3f1ec4ff.jpg Dress: a hand-me-down

Sometimes, the best things are the clothes that you usually wouldn't buy for yourself. In this case, I probably would never have glanced twice at this dress in a store, but getting it as a hand-me-down is almost like a challenge. I usually don't buy too many brownish colored garments because I think it blends in a little too well with my skin tone, but I can't help but get over how weirdly fun this print is; like a mineral, animal-print type deal.  photo IMG_0324_zps5732ceb8.jpg

SoCo Mix

 photo 41e3f298-6d44-4499-ac74-657294b86c49_zps90303a44.jpg
The other week, Ken and I headed over to SoCo, this plaza of sorts that opened up next to my house not too long ago. It's unique, to say the least. Filled with artisan shops, tasty food joints, cute little boutiques, succulents upon succulents, and complete with a Farmer's Market twice a week, it's the perfect place to spend the afternoon. Considering how it used to be a dilapidated collection of nearly-abandoned furniture stores, it's awesome how many people come now. Check it out here! photo IMG_0331_zpsc1eafa04.jpg photo IMG_0298_zpse8fb2c70.jpg photo 163b02b3-f5f3-484b-b5f7-0800fbb07d0e_zps61b22d4e.jpg photo 827edeca-e158-4c20-b472-6c35c2c3b61e_zps245a1a9f.jpg photo IMG_0304_zps6281cea3.jpg photo fceb4756-2d45-410a-a6bb-651092766123_zpse1fe40f8.jpg photo 88d28b75-5a12-4beb-bdc6-630f63e23617_zpsec872b21.jpg

Lions and Tigers and Bears and Foxes

 photo IMG_0195_zpsc84531f8.jpg
Shirt: H&M via Buffalo Exchange [$3]
Skirt: F21 [$6]
Sneakers: old Vans

New camera pictures! It was an animal theme for the day. Although this H&M tank is being held apart by two heroic strands of thread, I love the fox print so much that I pray for the best every time I pull the thing through the arms and over the head. This leopard print skirt has been pretty abused in my closet too; I wore it every other day last summer and tore a hole the size of a football in it in the winter. After some finger stabbing and multiple re-dos, I finally stitched the hole back up. Thankfully, the print is busy enough to hide the fact that I did a horrendous job. Now it's off to Arizona to visit family, watch the Diamondbacks, eat a ton of delicious food, and die slowly of heat! photo IMG_0200_zps399f610b.jpg photo 51f3e6c5-45a0-4dc5-80ae-181e2d2165d9_zps46444a14.jpg photo 7456fd6b-1e0f-4a49-8d2f-0b9c39a0b2d9_zpsebf7d65a.jpg photo 92f3ee73-04d7-427f-bf60-799580dcb118_zps7e37288c.jpg photo f3c4874a-a8ff-446f-a36c-af76c5c7b701_zps953602ac.jpg photo e864cc8e-dacb-4e1f-b001-193ba77d927a_zpsabd86beb.jpg photo aa12d4bf-7430-4c52-b097-5bbc40edd14c_zps8d22e450.jpg photo IMG_0204_zps4f6f3fdf.jpg photo IMG_0206_zps8c4d67d3.jpg

Canon Rebel T3i

The last blog about regular posting? Yeah, sorry about that. I have more pictures on my mom's camera but I'm too lazy to go find it, so here are a smattering of pictures taken with my new crowning jewel! I've spent the last couple of days at the beach, so I'll get those pictures up and running eventually too. I'm still not so good at this blogging stuff, but I guess that's the whole fun of it. Enjoy some very amateur shots!

Pastel Paisley

Blouse: Urban Outfitters [clothing exchange]
Dress: old F21 [maybe 5 years ago? $17-ish?]
Sandals: Urban Outfitters [$10]

When I don't feel like being too exposed or constricted, I throw a thin and breezy blouse on top of any outfit and call it a day. Sometimes the results are rather unpleasant, but I rather like this combo and don't think I'll be stopping any time soon. Sorry for all the downcast glances, I'll have some more cheery pictures soon. I have since acquired a new camera (!!!) and need to get my older pictures up in order to break out the new ones, so expect some regular posting coming up! Unless I get lazy, which may definitely happen. But alas, it's summer and I'm gonna stick with that excuse. Time to go to Huntington Beach and build some sand castles!
