Paint War

 photo DSCN4140_zps0435e0c2.jpg
Shirt: Prabal Gurung for Target [Daisy's]
Shorts: Old Navy [$15, minus the paint]
Shoes: Vans [a past Christmas gift]

These shorts are a flashback from the summer after high school. I was picked to be a camp counselor, and my team and I had to think of a cool idea for our introduction video. So of course, we had a paint war. It's exactly what you think it is: everyone wears white, holds a bottle of paint, and ten minutes later, you're a human color bomb. Complete with crunchy paint hair and all. So although these shorts are getting pretty ripped and nasty, I can't bear to throw them away. I threw on Daisy's shirt to add another element too because, why not? It was an XL though, so I knotted it up to make it a bit more wearable.  photo DSCN4139_zps17e671ea.jpg photo DSCN4143_zps46846b5c.jpg photo DSCN4148_zpse7f29645.jpg photo DSCN4152_zpsfba04367.jpg photo DSCN4155_zpsc26d5afb.jpg

Black n White

 photo DSCN4129_zps5235acf3.jpgDress: Urban Outfitters [$7]
Blouse: Urban Outfitters [$7]
Sandals: Urban Outfitters [$10]

Man, that's a lot of Urban Outfitters. What can I say, those sales just get me. Whenever I want to switch up my outfits, I always put together the same colored garments and hope for the best. The black and white combo though, is always foolproof. Okay, almost always. I'd say a 92.6% confidence interval. Which may be impossible, but I digress! On another note, The Bachelorette is dramatic and predictable, but I can't help but stake out at the TV every Monday night.  photo DSCN4130_zps16866f1e.jpg photo b16ebaa2-11e0-4a86-ba35-65dec3592387_zpsfc414f81.jpg photo 3a3a1b9d-02f8-4a35-9691-c3886904f4f4_zpsd7fe91fe.jpg

Rainbow Connection

Dress: Urban Outfitters [a birthday gift from Mary]
Shoes: Urban Outfitters [$10]

Finally, this dress gets its time to shine! Mary bought this back for me in October, and it hung there mocking me all winter long. I tried to wear it with a blouse underneath, but its tightness brought for awkward patches of bunched up fabric that were no good. Glorious summer and good ol California sunshine is where this dress truly belongs. Three cheers for summer attire! photo DSCN4109_zps8787f0b1.jpg photo DSCN4112_zps8f038080.jpg photo DSCN4110_zpsd1488811.jpg photo DSCN4113_zps2997b1eb.jpg

Grin

 photo DSCN4100_zpsb6cbb8fb.jpg
Dress: Target [$9]
Belt: thrift store [25 cents]
Sandals: Urban Outfitters [$10]

The smile in the first photo looks slightly ferocious, with teeth-bared and all that. Still, that's the only good photo of the triangle hole in the front of my dress. I picked this guy out while scouring the racks of Target, and the side slits were what sold me. Well, less of a slit and more of a swoosh. Side swooshes-works every time. Oh, and for the first time in a year, my hair is relatively the same length, yippee! And as always, bobby pins are my best friend with all hair endeavors. I'm working on pigtails next, should be fun. Or something. photo DSCN4101_zps8579fba1.jpg photo DSCN4102_zps47e92c2e.jpg photo DSCN4095_zps7abe825e.jpg

Schwinn

 photo DSCN4074_zps3086ef12.jpg
Dress: Marshalls [$5]
Unbuttoned Blouse: Urban Outfitters [$5]
Sneakers: Vans [an old Christmas gift]
Bike: 2010 Schwinn Collegiate 3

This bike is about the coolest thing I own. I'm very unlucky when it comes to winning prizes and such, but this beauty of a Schwinn was won during my high school grad night. I ended up riding the bike home at 5AM and it was awesome. Whenever I'm home, one of my sisters is always hoarding the car so I end up riding this baby to and fro. Outfitted with a bell and wicker basket, it's one sweet ride if I do say so myself. And as usual, boba runs are always in order.  photo DSCN4075_zpsfdc7ffdf.jpg photo DSCN4077_zps031b3e9f.jpg

Cookie Monster

 photo DSCN3997_zps0989a08e.jpg
Dress: Urban Outfitters [$5]
Sandals: Urban Outfitters [$10]

I love me some sales. Especially Urban Outfitters' 50% Off Sale sale. I picked up the dress and shoes over a week ago and haven't really taken the sandals off since. I apologize in advance if you get sick and tired of seeing pictures of them.

On another note, this little munchkin is my baby cousin and half the reason why I've been lagging on picture-taking recently (the other half being his older brother). I babysat them for an entire week and am properly exhausted. Chasing two boys around the house, making copious amounts of mac&cheese, and getting dragged to play lava monster in the park every day was a trip. But I'd gladly do it all over again, even if the most glamorous part was changing from dirty pajamas to clean ones. My appreciation for moms has increased exponentially, I can tell you that! photo 54200b80-72d0-4e4c-9ac7-bec06cdd10d3_zps84abc16c.jpg photo 516fd7e1-e302-4479-8335-6c6714bed228_zpsad80dd2a.jpg photo 69af0fa4-9b51-4929-bcf0-bc7e4cbf0a9e_zps789076c5.jpg

Paisley

 photo DSCN3975_zps1c9e8caf.jpg
Dress: Broadway & Broome [a gift from work]
Shoes: Old Navy via Goodwill [$6]
Earrings: Urban Outfitters [$2.50]

On my last day of work, I got to pick one item to keep. I was looking for a dress that I could wear to my old volleyball coach's wedding, something light and summery. After searching through rows and rows of beautiful garments and trying on dresses in vain, I finally found this gorgeous silk Broadway & Broome dress, a Madewell brand. Not only did it hit my frame perfectly, but the cutout back is sickkk. It's way more cool in person, these pictures don't really do it justice. I'll try to get better photos of it in due time, perhaps at ze beach!  photo DSCN3976_zpsfe8298f5.jpg photo DSCN3981_zpsee4b94de.jpg
